Where it is so noisy and full of people in the summer, barely a few pass through the enchanting beauties of winter!
We will show you these beauties in an unforgettable weekend for beginners with snowshoes!
This program is a wonderful choice for beginner winter mountaineers!
Surely one of the best ways to feel the Rhodope winter fairy tale, our series of snowshoe tours will take you to the unreal quiet snowy nooks of the largest mountain in Bulgaria! A perfect winter experience for experienced as well as for beginners mountaineers, allowing you to fully enjoy the amazing views typical of the season and the mountain!
You’ve never snowshoed before?
Do not worry, the new snowshoes are lightweight, comfortable, easy to adjust, and very stable in the snow, so even beginners can enjoy winter hiking! If you can walk, then you can also snowshoe, which makes them ideal for rediscovering of the winter mountain!
Day 1:
Departure from Sofia with organized transport at 07:30 from Vasil Levski Stadium. Arrival at Wonder Bridges and accommodation in the chalet. Lunch, after which we finally will put on the snowshoes! The altitude difference of this day will be very small, we will walk on an almost horizontal road to the open area Slanchevi Poliani, which will take us to the short climb of the legendary Tsirikova Cherkva Peak! The peak will reveal a wonderful panorama of the South, all the way to Pamporovo and the guide will reveal the legends related to it. We will have a cup of tea at the top, then descend and return to the hut for a well-deserved rest. Dinner and overnight in the hut.
Day 2:
After a good breakfast, we will fill the thermoses with tea and head to new snow adventures! We will immerse in the snow-covered forests of the Persenk massif! We will climb to the legendary Mesargidik Pass, from where we will begin climbing the Lesser Persenk peak – lower than his big brother Goliam Persenk, but much more panoramic. We will be amazed at the wonderful winter decoration of the Rhodope Mountains and the silence of centuries-old coniferous forests all day long! After all this we return back to the chalet, from where the bus will take us back to civilization, but not before we dine in a spot with delicious Rhodope specialties! End of program.

The price includes: Licensed mountain guide, snowshoe rental, overnight and breakfast in Wonder bridges hut, transport from Sofia to the region and back and mountain insurance for the excursion period.
The price does not include: Remaining meals, personal expenses, everything not listed as included.
* Arrival in the region can also be done by your own transport, in which case it will be deducted from the price!
* If you have your own snowshoes they will also be deducted from the total price!
* The bus can take people from all the settlements on the road Sofia – Plovdiv – Asenovgrad – Hvoyna!
* Organized transport is included with at least 7 participants!
