Mountaineering Course – Winter Profile – January 10-12
For a very long time now we have been planning to do a course for our ever growing english speaking audience in Bulgaria, and we’re very happy to announce that it’s finally happening!
This course aims to prepare you and give you basic skills for safe movement in the winter mountain, the correct execution of alpine techniques and handling of the equipment, the correct selection of equipment, as well as many other basic aspects of winter mountaineering.
We will arrive on site on Friday evening and start with a lecture on the features, movement and dangers of the winter mountain.
We will dedicate the rest of the weekend to practical activities and lectures that will introduce you and help you properly understand the laws of the winter mountain and the basics of classic winter mountaineering.
The course is suitable for people who are preparing for climbs to peaks such as Grossglockner, Mont Blanc, Elbrus, Kazbek, or any other good alpine climb in the world.
The course will take place in our favourite Malyovitsa hut.
